Stride & Ride 2009
It's time for our annual MDA fundraiser, the Stride & Ride. Last year was fantastic. We raised almost $10,000 and so many of you came out to Grapevine Mills to support our family. We are still in awe at the size of Team Combs. We truly feel blessed to have so many wonderful people in our lives.
For our friends who are not aware, we want to do what we can to help the Muscular Dystrophy Association, but we don't want to overwhelm ourselves or bombard our friends and family with constant fund raising events. So, the Stride & Ride is our once a year fund raising campaign. The MDA Stride & Ride is a way for us to raise money to help the MDA, specifically with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy research. It concludes with a walk around the inside of Grapevine Mills Mall on Saturday, January 31st from 7:30 am to 10am.
We are asking for your help and support. If you are able, you can make a donation. We are also inviting you to join us at the walk. We had a great group last year and it was a lot of fun. Please do not feel obligated. We feel that the greatest support we receive from all of you is your prayers and we want you to know that they are truly felt. Thank you for all that you have already done for our family. Again, we feel so blessed to be surrounded by so many wonderful friends.
Our boys are doing great. Baden loves school and keeps up with all of his classmates. He love to play with his Lego and can build almost anything. He continues to swim a lot and will start horseback riding this fall (hippo therapy). Porter is a two year old ball of energy. He loves to chase after his brother and sisters and he loves loves loves to play with balls.
So, this is our little part. If you would like to participate in this fund raising event, please see the attached document for more details. Remember, there are several ways you can help:
- Donate
- Become part of our team and pass the word on to your friends and family
- Come join us on the 31st (if you arrive about 8am, you should be there in plenty of time for the festivities and the walk).
If you come to the walk, wear our Team Combs color - navy blue.
Again, thank you for all of your thoughts, prayers and support,
Dallin and Sarah Combs
